Discover why this hidden gem area has become our go-to home base for every Orlando trip. From budget-friendly hotels to convenient dining, Flamingo Crossings offers the perfect balance of Disney magic and family comfort.
Flamingo Crossings Town Center is a new Disney-developed district filled with hotels, shopping, and dining at the western gateway to Walt Disney World. Think of it as a smaller, much calmer version of Disney Springs. It's on Disney property but outside the main park areas, so it's both "on-site" and "off-site" at the same time.
When I was a kid, this area was literally nothing but highways and orange groves near the edge of Disney's land. Now it's a thriving hub just 8-15 minutes' drive from all the Disney parks (about 13 minutes to Magic Kingdom, 12 to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and only 8 to Animal Kingdom).
For our family of six, Flamingo Crossings offers the perfect balance: super convenient to the parks, but away from the crowds and chaos at the end of the day. Importantly for us, Flamingo Crossings is very value-packed in a budget. Disney built this area to offer more affordable hotels and services, comparable in price to Disney's own Value Resorts.
Rates around $120–$150 per night for spacious suites with full kitchens, free breakfast, and Early Entry benefits.
Just 8-15 minutes from all Disney parks via Western Way, with easy access to Universal and other attractions.
Spacious suites, waterslides, and quiet atmosphere perfect for families who need downtime after park days.
Our go-to for everything from cases of bottled water to Disney t-shirts and princess dolls at prices way lower than inside the parks!
Pharmacy and convenience store for essentials, extra sunscreen, and last-minute needs.
Great for affordable souvenirs and kids' toys under $5.
Amazing smoked meats and finger-licking BBQ. Perfect for takeout after a long park day.
Huge portions of farm-fresh food. The chicken & waffles are legendary!
Fresh, healthy Mexican food with customizable options. Great for lighter meals.
We made Homewood Suites by Hilton at Flamingo Crossings Town Center our home base on our latest trip, and it was fantastic. Our suite was spacious and family-friendly, with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa, plus a full kitchen and even a dining table.
As a mom, having that kitchen was gold. I stocked groceries from the nearby Target and could whip up quick lunches and snacks, saving us a lot of money on meals. Homewood is an extended-stay hotel, so it offers 1- and 2-bedroom suites and studio layouts.
