Flamingo Crossings Town Center

Flamingo Crossings Town Center is a new Disney-developed district filled with hotels, shopping, and dining at the western gateway to Walt Disney World. Think of it as a smaller, much calmer version of Disney Springs. It's on Disney property but outside the main park areas, so it's both "on-site" and "off-site" at the same time.

What is Flamingo Crossings?

When I was a kid, this area was literally nothing but highways and orange groves near the edge of Disney's land. Now it's a thriving hub just 8-15 minutes' drive from all the Disney parks (about 13 minutes to Magic Kingdom, 12 to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and only 8 to Animal Kingdom).

Why Choose Flamingo Crossings?

  • Value-packed: Rates around $120–$150 per night for spacious suites
  • Disney perks: Early Theme Park Entry (30 minutes early) like Disney-owned hotels
  • Family-friendly: Extended-stay style with bigger rooms, kitchens, and free breakfasts
  • Peaceful retreat: Safe and quiet after long park days

Shopping & Dining at Flamingo Crossings

Staying in Flamingo Crossings, we were fortunate to have a bunch of shops and restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. The centerpiece of the Town Center is a big Target store, which became our go-to for everything from cases of bottled water to Disney t-shirts and princess dolls.

Target

Our go-to for everything from bottled water to Disney t-shirts and princess dolls at prices way lower than inside the parks!

Walgreens

Pharmacy for peace of mind in case anyone got sick or blistered. We popped in for extra sunscreen and candy.

Quick Bites & Treats

For coffee and breakfast on the go, we had both Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts right there. There's also a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop and a really cool dessert cafe called White Rabbit Dessert Experience.

White Rabbit Dessert Experience

Alice in Wonderland-themed and serves elaborate waffles, crepes, and sundaes. One night, we surprised the kids with a visit there, and their eyes popped out at the towering milkshakes and desserts.

Note: It's a bit pricey for dessert (~$20 for some creations), but it was a vacation splurge that doubled as an unforgettable experience.

Family Restaurants

Hash House A Go Go

Famous for huge portions and funky takes on farm food. The kids' jaws dropped at the size of the chicken & waffles!
